This has been a crazy week filled with many emotions. As you know, I finished my novel for NaNoWriMo this week. I went above and beyond this year and went to 90,000 words which was quite an experience, but I am glad that I did it and I am glad that it is over so I can relax for the next few weeks before Random Genre Month. Let me tell you this: I am NOT going to do that for RGM, but you always can with the challenge button.
In other new, our beloved mascot of Random Genre Month, Swimming Sam, the fish of Andrew, died three days ago. We really mourn his loss but he has brought us some good times for Random Genre Month. Almost ironically, since he died, the number of people signing up has increased by quite a bit. Maybe it's Sam working from beyond the grave or something.
Also, we have some good news that you may know if you follow us on Twitter. Julia, who has been in a wheelchair for the past few weeks, has gotten her cast off and now has to wear a knee walker for a while, but at least this is progress to heal her foot with a shattered extra bone.
In Random Genre Month news, we finally have our image of the month up from accidentalblog.com and will stay up for the remainder of November. Sorrry it took so long, but we were all kind of busy with NaNoWriMo.
And, lastly, sometime in the next few days we will post an explanation about the genre picking, so stay tuned and don't forget to sign up!
Getting ready for a writer's Christmas, the genre picking,
Jack
